Body Shop Haul!

Today I ended up splurging in the Body Shop. Ooops.

I should really stop spending money!

I signed up to Vouchercloud ages ago and I have taken advantage of their Body Shop vouchers several times. This time there was one for £25 off if I spent £50 or more and as I needed some new skincare products I thought I'd go and get some new stuff.

Firstly, I wanted to try some new skincare products as I have found that my I have been getting some really dry patches on my forehead and round my nose over the past month. I have sensitive skin and as I usually have combination skin I was advised to use products from the aloe range. I saw that they had a starter kit with an aloe calming toner and facial cleaner (both 60ml) and aloe soothing day cream and night cream (both 15ml) this was meant to cost £10 but it was reduced to £7. This kit seems perfect as it meant that I didn't have to spend out on the full sized products and that I can trial a whole new skincare routine to see whether it is suitable for me! The bag is also very handy and will be great to take on holiday.

Pretty cute in my opinion!

Also from the aloe range, I invested in their protective and restoring mask (100ml, £12.00). My Mask of Magnaminty from Lush has started to dry up in the pot and is not moisturising (it's great to calm oily skin though). As I mentioned above, my skin has been dry lately so I wanted something moisturising but I didn't want anything that would make my skin become oily again so the lady who served me recommended this, I shall try to review it when I've given it a go!

Hoping this will work!

Next I decided to try some of their hair care products. I have tried the Rainforest Balance shampoo and conditioner (which is for oily hair) from the Body Shop but it just didn't suit my hair. I didn't want to buy any more shampoo's as I have plenty and decided to try some different conditioners. First up is the Rainforest Radiance De-tangling Spray (250ml, £6.00). This is from the coloured hair range and my hair is not coloured but I'm sure it will be fine! This stuff smells amazing and of blueberries! It also contains a UV filter so should be great for summertime. Next is the Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter (50ml, £3.00). This is a deep conditioning treatment for dry and damaged hair so I'm hoping that it will stop my hair from being so frizzy! I would have bought the larger size but I'm not that keen on the smell so I'll see how the trial size goes.

Haircare.

I have been using the Benefit 'It's Potent!' eye cream samples for a while now and I love it but I can't justify paying £24.50 for the pot so I thought I'd try the Vitamin E Eye Cream (15ml, £10.00). I have seen this being spoken about a few times so I thought I'd give it a go. I also have been wanting a cuticle oil for a while so I'm going to try the Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil (1.8ml, £7.00). This comes with a helpful brush applicator and on the cap is one of those rubber ends that gently ease the cuticles down which is handy. Another thing that I bought was the Chocolate Body Butter in the small size (50ml, £5.00). I have so many of the Body Shop's body butters it's unreal but I've been wanting this one for such a long time that I just had to pick it up! It smells very sweet and will probably be better for winter!

The 50ml Body Butters are such a handy size!

Lastly is something that I added to my basket just to make the total come to £50 but I'm so glad that I did! It is the Brazil Nut Body Mist (100ml, £7.50). This smells AMAZING! It smells of toffee and vanilla and chocolate with a fresh nutty smell. I was going to buy the scrub or body butter but I have so many to be used up so I decided on a mist. This is such a nice scent and I will defiantly be wearing it throughout summer!

Possibly one of the nicest smells ever!

Fair to say that I will have to distance myself from The Body Shop for a while! Let me know what your favourite products from The Body Shop are!
